Final Blog - Blog 10

The blog experience was new, never before I have a blog, and I am a really bad writer, am not used to write about anything, I am very bad for that in general, it’s hard to me interlacing the words, especially if it is in English. But to think about all this was a good experience, you learn a lot when you have to write and look for new words that you did not know before. Also one opens his mind and becomes more creative, in each blog already had a rhythm and I was less able to write it, one develops an ability to write, also the topics of blogs were entertaining, especially in which one that we had to talk about things that we like. Of course, what I dislike most was the class when we have to write a blog and we can’t see the football match between Chile and Portugal for the semifinals of the confederation cup. Cinema - Blog 6

One of the more important arts for me is the cinema, I really love to watch movies, also search for directors and different genders. I have watched movies from all decades, i like to appreciate the difference of technology and script along the time. Specially i like the documentary films, my favorite documentary is "Sans Soleil" (sun less) from Chris Marker, he is a french director who have a special way to make movies and it was that he invented the use of found footage or even his personal archive to create a narration with very innovative forms using essays of politics and metalanguage, he deconstruct the typical way of doing films and enlarge the universe of narrations and forms including all the arts in one art. I also like the new wave of the french moviemakers, is a avant-garde that happened in the sixties, they start doing a magazine talking about cinema but then they make a lot of movies that talk about movies. Camera - Blog 3

My favourite device of technology are the cameras, specially the photograph camera. I really enjoy taking photos and i also think that the old technics are the better than digital techniques, the analog photography is pure magic for me, I find fascinating the way a chemical invention can capture a specific moment in the reality and make it reproducible. The photography is an important discovery for me because i like to keep my memories alive and with a photo a can travel into the imaginary of that moment or period in my life. Is also important to think that every time i'm watching a picture of someone else that i don't know. I can think that a person was in that  specific moment and he have had the ability to capture the light in that special way.

Architecture - Blog 2

Well, i choose study architecture after i know my score in the PSU, before that i didn't know what to study, in the school i always like math and i have good grades in this  signature, but i also like language but i was really difficult to me, so after the PSU i see what possibilities i have to choose, and architecture was the best option, because i like math and i like draw. I think this is the typical reason for why people enter to this career. In the first semester i really like the career, was very artistic and have a lot of math and geometric, but was too much work, team work, essays, models, etc. That is the main problem of architecture, it is entertaining and creative, but it requires a lot of work and time

Urbanism - Blog 8

This semester i really like the subject “urban sustainability”, is the only urbanistic signature that i have this semester, is entertaining and the professor is very sympathetic and understanding. I like the text that we have to read, the first text was one from Manfred Max-Neef, a chilean alternative economist, was easy to understand, very explicative and interesting, also we have to read a classic from the urbanism theory “A City is Not a Tree” from Christopher Alexander. Other thing that i like is the team works, the first work that we have to made was a video from some urbanistic problem in Santiago, other work was to create a new ecologic district, making planimetry, 3D models, etc. in this works i feel that i learn a lot, and also was creative and enjoying. I visit this page often, not every day, usually when i need find information from some project, architect or building, they always have a good review and good photos, from example once i need find some information from the national library of france, so i search that in google and the first link that apperar was from this website, so i open it and they a have a complete report of the library and his architect, also they show very good pictures in good quality. Picture of my brothers - Blog 5

Well, this picture is not mine, is from my brother, I choose this because remember me a lot of good things, first of all my two brothers win a scholarship to Croatia so they went to there too study, they are still there, so I stay alone in home with my parents. They took this and another photos in Croatia and then they send us too all family by email, and i get very happy when i see that my brothers are together and they are getting fun. Another thing is the quality of the photo, I really like this old antique style that the cameras with roll film have, my brother like taking photos of this style and he is very talented.  Is basically that, I think is a pretty picture, and appears my two brothers, I like the detail that they appears in the reflection of the glass, and that in the background you can see the Croatian flag.
